I knew that the idea of a Black Man in the White House was obscene to the population of racists. They would strive to have him followed by a white supremist to undo whatever he accomplished. Many of us took Trump as the ignorant crass joke he was. Imagine a President who knows absolutely nothing at all about world trade, and is unable to confront reality. When Trump went to 'fix' Mexico by closing the car factory, it wasn't twenty four hours before China took over. When China stopped buying US soy beans not only did Brasil prosper, but we, in Jamaica, got tons of those unwanted beans for pennies and used them as chicken feed. One would think Trump would learn from his mistakes. Nope. The tariffs he has slapped all over the world has had the effect of pushing nations to become more self sufficient and seek other trading partners. This is of benefit to other nations who for too long stupidly depended on the United States. One can easily see how Europe, devastated after World War II needed America, but they ought of stepped away from dependency in the '60s, not continue into the 2000s. Now, realising that depending on America is like waiting for Santa Claus, Europe is finally taking responsibilities and expanding trade to other nations. Russia is enjoying the performance, watching America slip down the ranking. Putin has used his control over Trump and is beaming with joy. As the America economy descends, as its influence weakens, Russia wins the Cold War.
