Saturday-April 5th

What a great day so far. 
Both my husband as well as myself were up early today. I was up a bit before I normally get up on a weekday, he slept a bit later then he does during the week. Very relaxing to get up without an alarm.
I did not have alot of groceries to get this morning. My shopping was short and sweet. I found some cute pinwheels with a halo around them for bubbles. The girls really love bubbles, so I picked up a couple to add to their Easter pails. This year we are doing an outdoor theme, and I am putting everything into sand castle pails instead of baskets.
When I returned from shopping my husband had a load of darks going in the washer. He put away the groceries for me and I got to work in the kitchen. I made a quiche for my lunches for next week as well as got some eggs boiling for devilled eggs. I don't like them, but he does.
I picked up the ham for Easter. They were smaller than I expected, so I picked up 2 of them. That will allow for lots of leftovers for ham and Swiss wraps the following week.
Not much else to do today. I hope that you are having just as great a Saturday as I am.

That sounds like a fun shopping trip together.
I decided to buy 2 hams for Easter as they looked too small just for 1 of them. But when I came home Ron was quick to ask me where did I plan on putting everything, our deep freezer is stuffed full and the little freezer in the refrigerator is quickly getting stuffed as well.
I made him some devilled eggs to try to smooth things over. But he does not hold a grudge and is very happy that I made him the eggs, they will be eaten quickly I am sure, he told me he would like one with his lunch today.

@LadyDuck We have a new quarter of beef which takes up most of the deep freezer, although it will last us for most of the year. I prefer to buy our beef this way, the prices are constantly increasing and to buy it early in the year, we got the best price for our organic beef. But we eat less and less beef so it lasts longer each order we get.

@Juliaacv - My freezer is now so full. I will avoid going out shopping for at least one week. I am checking which item is crowding the freezer more and that one will be our dinner tonight.
I was sure that Ron does not hold a grudge. I know you will arrive to store the hams.

Last year my husband and son built the girls a little outdoor space for playing.
Their area doesn't have proper drainage, and the back yard is often soggy and wet.
They got alot of use out of the sandbox, and the plastic shovels and toys did not do well over the winter months, so I am replacing them.
I will attach a picture of their outdoor kitchen, sandbox and deck area. They love playing there. Their little poly resin cottages are on the deck also.

We still make devil eggs but no egg hiding or baskets to fix up. I am having a great day and getting a lot done. Enjoy.

Good to know that you have a great day.
I do not have anything planned for the weekend. Just do a bit of groceries shopping. Bought a bar of dark chocolate to give myself a treat. :)

Easter is still a few weeks away isn't it? Are you going to color eggs with the girls? That would be so much fun. I was thinking about going up to PA, but took the trip to Myrtle Beach instead. I will be going up to Erie in the summer.

Yes, Easter is a couple of weeks away still.
The chocolate goes so quickly, we bought all of the chocolate last weekend.
We picked up a couple of hula hoops last weekend also as well as lots and lots of outdoor toys.
We won't colour eggs with them, they are not big egg eaters at their place, unless it is Rabbit Poop, which is the chocolate eggies, they have been eating those for quite some time now.

@Juliaacv I sprinkle paprika and some parsley flakes. The red and green is good for Christmas!
