I have continued going on Tubi each evening and doing my tribute to Val Kilmer. Tonight I decided on "At First Sight". I have seen it before, had forgotten the lovely love story and, Val's acting. He was so good.
The movie made me think of how much I take for granted. How much my body does each day. I see, smell, feel, taste, and hear. My body digests the food I eat and all my organs do their jobs. All day, every day. It is so amazing. My brain takes in information and does so much to direct my body. My skin, the largest organ is a miracle all by itself. And, then there's my heart. I was graced with a string one, no disease or issues.
I abuse this body. I eat junk, I don't always drink enough water. It doesn't always get all it needs but still it does a good job for me. It has worked well for me these 74 years and I hope for many more.
Are you amazed at what your body does for you? Do you abuse it? It's so amazing.

I'm very overweight, I don't drink enough water (I'm trying to change that); and I can't sleep. Yet, at 77, I'm still here. Thank you God.

Drinking water helps with so much. Being overweight could be because of a thyroid issue. Have you looked into that? I'm 74 and have these same issues.

@celticeagle Yes, my thyroid is fine. I don't eat that much; but having mobility issues makes it easy for me to gain weight.
