Just way to go, fellow American peeps!!! Look at all you get out there and show off your right to protest. Several people that I know and respect moved their buns and joined the masses. What a total smiler. Even hubby's pastor headed on over and joined in- when she says she believes in everybody and anybody's right to be. she means it.
I hope it does some good. I really hope going the peaceful route moves some nasty mountains.
Today my world has rain and clouds. Enough sunny benign weather. Got to have some water coming down. I just washed and put away some dishes so I can say that there is a sink in my kitchen. I also made a couple of small loaves of quick bread. The bread has nectarines that used to live in my freezer. And some cran raisins for zip. It's sweet so it won't be wasted. I don't like to bake with just white flour. I put some flax seed meal in and some oats.
I hope your Sunday is going well. I'm lining up for a quick nap.

Last weekend there were friendly protests on both sides of the border.
In 1 border city, Windsor, Ontario and Detroit, Michigan, the people waved both flags on both sides of the river and waved to each other. Everyone misses the way it used to be and should be. It is sad, such a terrible loss, almost too much for words, but it is no longer safe to cross the border for us as we will be detained either coming or going.
Our Prime Minister should send Donald Trump a singing telegram with the song, why can't we be friends. maybe he would get it then.
Enjoy your little nap.

@sallypup I do not look at it as you and we, it is all of us. All of us here in North America, we have so much in common and need and want each other so much more than words can say.
I feel lucky because I get my little fix of that feeling right here on myLot.

I just woke up from a two hour nap. I'm still tired.
I didn't go anywhere yesterday. I couldn't see well enough to drive and my brother took Pretty shopping for groceries. I hope the protests do some good but am positive they're being ignored.
MAGA cult members pretend everybody but them is stupid and clueless when it's them who turn a blind eye to trump and musk. Let them kill all the poor people, the rich people will still be alive!

@sallypup Unfortunately, that may be what it takes to make people pay attention and learn what's really happening here.

@DaddyEvil I am deeply worried that ignorance will turn to blood shed.

I bake like you, or you bake like me. Often adding chia seeds, almond flour, flax seed meal or oats or all of the above. I had a forty five minute chair nap when we got home.

@GardenGerty Yup! I'm long over my white bread days. My innards demand nutrition. Go you on being the same.

I just noticed they had a group in my county. I would have joined them if I had known it was going on. I was in one protest already.

I don't know a thing about the Canadian border but I do about the Mexican border and I honestly do not want anymore illegals coming here because too many of them are crimnals not to mention that at least 70% or more aren't Mexicans to begin with, many come from Columbia, Equador & Paraguay along with some who immigrate to their contries from places like Afganastan, it's how those bozos who created 9/11 got here in the first place.

There needs to be more and more peaceful protests. We also should be sending letters to Washington by the thousands. Have a good day.

I was proud that it was done peacefully!! That meant so much.
Your bread sounds delicious! I made 2 loaves of dark rye. I love the way the house smells when bread is baking!
