The Trader Joe's viral mini tote bags are returning

I used to pass the closest Trader Joe's several times a week on my way to/from the gym. I'd stop there on the way, buy my stuff, and then get the workout done before returning back here. I stopped going to the gym back in 2020 during COVID so I've been there just a handful of times since then. I'm out of the TJ "loop" so to say.
I honestly don't remember what my mother gave me for Christmas as the "main" present but I do remember it was in a TJ mini tote and it had a $25 Trader Joe's gift card in the front pocket. Of course I thanked her effusively but I was kind of confused about the bag. Like what would I even use it for? I had no idea that it was some crazy viral hard item to find. They cost $3 but were being resold on eBay for hundreds of dollars. I didn't get the import of receiving one.
TJ also has recently released mini insulated bags for like bringing your lunch to work. She gave me 2 last week when we were going out to dinner. I thanked her and said that I had wanted to get one after seeing my work BFF's (non-TJ) insulated bag. She told me to give her one of them and I was like "no she already has one but it made me want to get one". Apparently they also were a viral sensation. Again I had no idea.
Anyway Trader Joe's is releasing the mini totes again this month. The colors are very "spring"--pastel pink, pastel lavender, pastel blue, and pastel cyan. (I thought cyan was blue??) They are already selling on eBay for $100. That is nuts for a $3 bag. I still don't even understand what you would use them for. I don't know where mine is. I mean I know it is in the 2nd bedroom which I use for storage but I don't know where. I've never used it.

I bought and sold one of those fo more than twice the price. They honestly aren't that well made. Whoever, buys one for big bucks is a sucker in my opinion..with more money than sense

Just how big (small?) are these things? And yes, cyan is blue. What they're calling cyan is sea green. And I guess people will collect anything, especially if it's difficult to find. The totes may be selling for $100 on eBay, but is anyone buying them?

@BarBaraPrz I don't. Like I said I didn't even realize they were some big deal even after receiving one.

I don't get the interest! We had a Trader Joe's added recently; but I've never been there.
