Stayed Mostly Sunny

That was nice. But it never warmed way up. Stayed in the forties. It still wasn't a bad day.
When I went out to feed the young chicks my guinea was in the coop that I wanted to catch. So that went real easy. Couldn't have asked for better. Then pulling the two out of the dog crate wasn't bad. My cousin had his grandson with him who thought he wanted to carry one of those. He changed his mind when it tried to flap it's wings
. They are strong birds. I also sent an evergreen tree home with my cousin. It came up last spring in a pot voluntarily.
The rest of my day I stayed inside. We have had a breeze that makes it feel colder outside. I have most of my steps for the day and will finish those soon. Then I will crochet. I am trying to make a wallet for someone.
Hope you had a good day.

We reached a high of 62F today and it was mostly sunny all day. That was really nice after the last few days of almost constant rain. (I looked at videos of downtown Springfield and was surprised at how bad the flooding had gotten. Some people kept trying to drive through flooded streets and either killed their vehicles or were swept away. Some idiot even moved road blocks out of the way and tried to drive down the street anyway. Then other vehicles also tried to drive down it.
)
It has been windy off and on today. When I went to get the mail, it felt nice and there was no wind but now, the wind is blowing at 16 mph again.
I never liked carrying any birds. Their wings hurt when they hit you. I hope his grandson didn't get hurt.
I did the dishes twice today and felt that electric shock in my hip and down my left leg this morning but not this afternoon. I'll let the chiropractor know about that when I see him in the morning.
I also got a call from Medicaid this afternoon asking if I liked the ride they provided to get to the chiropractor last Thursday... I explained, again, about how the service is acting like a bus instead of a private taxi and she said, again, that they are a private taxi and should only be taking me and my carer (Pretty) and nobody else... They get paid $44 per person they drive so shouldn't need to take more than the one or two who are scheduled and then stay with them and bring us straight home again. I gave the originating service a 2 out of 5 but the driver a 5 out of 5 for the service. It wasn't his fault they sent him earlier than they'd told me over the phone and then sent him on another call instead of him staying with us until we were done.
The poor lady kept apologizing... I told her it wasn't her fault, either.
Have a good evening/night.

I seen similar in LaRue one year. A small car had stalled out in the high water. Of course a second one had to think we will make it
. At least that flood area the water doesn't have a current to worry about. It's a low spot that extra travels to. That's the one I went around Saturday.
I still had the wings mostly pinned down in my hands. You just have to know how to hold them.
Glad the hip seems to be getting better.
I could drive people for that kind of pay and just wait on them. The driver should remind them that he is already on a run when they try to send him somewhere else

I know how to carry birds but that doesn't stop them from slipping one wing free and beating the heck out of you once in a while.
Thanks. The chiropractor said the joint was still in place this morning and I shouldn't have any more trouble with it. I hope he's right.
The lady driver today said she'd stay with me and she did. I was pleasantly surprised.
I did drop my keys getting back into her vehicle to come home so Pretty had to let me in the door. Our car still isn't working so the receptionist at the chiropractor's office said she just lived about a mile from us so she'd bring my keys to me when she gets off work at 5 pm. I set an alarm so I didn't miss her. That's really nice of her to do that.

He is easily scared from what I have seen. He is 11 or so now but still very child like in some ways.

@wolfgirl569 Oh, then he might need to have a few encounters like that, toughen the little boy up some.
Not to sound mean, but within reason.

He is not a brave kid. He is also more used to chickens. This is the first guineas for my cousin. I think their loud chatter was throwing the grandson off too.

It rained most of the day yesterday. I had to go out twice to get the mail. Once in the rain. I worked on my boyfriend's diamond painting.

It was sunny here, and they say it got up to 60 here. I was busy cleaning and didn’t want to freeze my butt off going outside to check.
