During the months of May through August Dr. Zahi Hawass will be speaking in several cities around the country. He is an expert on Egyptology and archaeology of the area of Egypt. His lecture would be about his recent findings and his career. This is a favorite topic of mine and I have seen him on several shows on the History Channel. I would love to go to the one in New Orleans in June 2025. It only costs between $99 for general admission and $795 for VIP. I know it would be interesting and it would be a great reason to go back to New Orleans which I have wanted to do for decades. But, the VIP amount is about what we spend on food for the month so that is out. But, a gal can dream. You can read about the tour at this URL:

@celticeagle The problem is I can't fly because I need my rollator and shower chair; and I don't like to drive....that's a long way and I can't get around.

Our niece got married in Luxor in Egypt and spent the rest of her life there. It's a fascinating country.

It's the first time I heard about Dr. Zahi Hawass. Did he have said anything about "Ramesses II, known to have been the greatest and most celebrated pharaoh of the Egyptian Empire. The tomb of Ramesses was discovered in 1881 in the Valley of Kings in an unusual location that was previously and periodically damaged by flash floods".

He talked about them all. The shows he was in were very informative.
