Ginger by itself may not be something that would gain popularity but its ability to blend with other ingredients giving the dish a special taste makes one sing its glory
I tried it with making a sugar syrup adding grated ginger The recent Celebrity Master Chef Gaurav Khanna did a spectacular dish a dessert consisting of 5 different layers with each layer having a dash of ginger bringing him fame and glory and that brought fame and glory to the ginger as well

I like ginger added to dishes, but not too much. They bring flavour to dishes. My tea is incomplete without ginger. And today I made some ginger pickle.

I have discovered what ginger does to sweet dishes
My mother used to make ginger preserve. That is from tender ginger cooked in sugar syrup. First the ginger got forked and soaked in water for three days to remove its pungency using fresh water every day and then cooked in sugar syrup
