Israel

If you every thought that the POTUS was pro Israel, well you are wrong. Israel got hit with a 17% tariff. This will cost the economy of Israel many jobs and exports. So all your computers that have in INTEL chip are going to be more expensive because these chips are made here in Israel. Just saying.

The whole world is suffering because of this insensitive tarrif war. And the US will not be spared either. Sooner or later, it would backfire for them too.

Israel charges the United States a 33% tariff, just for the record.

@porwest People still buy USA goods, it doesn't really matter, they don't feel it there are so many taxes on so many goods here, that one more doesn't make a difference. If a person wants quality, they will pay for it.

India charges the United States a 52% tariff. The United States wants 26%. Why do you think it's fair to ask us to pay you 52% but you can be expected to pay us nothing?

It's really unfortunate to hear about the imposition of the 17% tariff on Israel. This will undoubtedly have a significant impact on their economy, potentially leading to job losses and affecting exports. It's also concerning to think about how this might increase the cost of products like computers with Intel chips, which are made in Israel. Let's hope that there can be some positive resolutions or negotiations in the future to mitigate these effects. It's always tough to see such measures impacting people's livelihoods and economies.

Israel charges us a 33% tariff. In fact, almost EVERY SINGLE COUNTRY IN THE WORLD charges tariffs. If tariffs don't work, why does every other country use them?

Umm. Now, wait a minute. You DO realize that the Trump tariffs are RECIPROCAL, right? What exactly does that mean? "If you charge US a tariff, we will reciprocate and charge you one too." So, how much does Israel charge the United States? Well, 33%. No, not 17%. 33%. And how much did Israel pay the United States before Trump's tariff proposal of 17%. 0%. So, explain to me how Israel might have thought it was a fair deal to charge us a tariff while they were getting a free ride, and then explain to me how it's unfair we want about half of what they wanted from us? I mean, people really have to step back here and get the full story. What's Trump really asking for? Fairness. Or at least some indication of it. I mean, think about this from another perspective here. You have two friends. One lives in Israel, and one lives in America. The Israeli friend goes to the American's friend's house and has dinner. The American says, "It's on the house. Thanks for coming over." The American friend goes the Israeli friend's house and has dinner and the Israeli friend asks for $33. That's EXACTLY what is going on and HAS been going on for decades. How is that a friendly gesture toward a country that DOES actually support them, and has for years? You may want to focus on the 17%. I want to know about that 33%.
