BEST OPERATING SYSTEM OUT THERE?

i have'nt tried vista yet...is it launched...? i hav seen mac os in my bro's laptop,its superb compared to other windows o.s... but reviews say that windows vista is extrmely powerful and provides cutting edge graphics and good in multimedia...but the system requirements are high for vista

OSX any version of windows.

Obviously i will go for Windows vista , i have its RC1, running on my PC it is performing really well & fast and support almost every software ,but u should have 1GB RAM, its graphics requirement are very high.

i agree with u my friend vista's requirment a rely high its like u have to buy a new pc for it. vista will be launched in 4 editions The first edition or clasic editon requires a min of 512MB ram and a 64MB graphic card which can support upto 3 pixel pipelines along with at least 2.0 Ghz of processor and the last edition will require a whoping 2 GB of RAM, 3.0 Ghz of clock speed 128 MB GPU and a ton more

man u cant comapire mac with vista they are like 2 legends on there own.... mac is a specialy designed system to satisfy all multimedia needs and vista still had to be launched for general use . On the other hand beta edition do prompt of some specil featues but its always hard to tell untill you lay hand on it. But i will favour a bit to mac machines coz after apple's colaboration with intel u can enjoy windows over mac's but reverse is not true
