In the weeks before I suddenly landed in where I never said I would go- the hospital- I took up a whole other activity. Never thought I would go there, either. I have always been the person in the family who wrote poetry, short stories, a bit of interviewing journalism. That was me. I can't, just can't get my fingers to knit or sew or I thought- draw more than ghastly stick figures.
But like I said, a couple of months ago, I started to take up pencils and draw. Really get out there and attempt to create a circle and even a three D box. Boy did that take some effort and no, that box, is not ready to have anything crammed into it. Yesterday I saw on Pinterest the sketch of a pelican. Cool. Maybe I can draw that. AND I did. My pelican looks like a stern turkey but oh well. I rather like him. I shot a photo of him to daughter. She said when I filled my sketch book up, she would mail me another. What a threat. From my own kid.

I guess as with most things practice makes perfect.

@snowy22315 I'm not too sure about that cliche when it comes to my drawing ability.

I remember my days of wanting to draw. All my horses looked like table with heads and legs

@RasmaSandra You could have entered those drawings in a modern art contest and won some money.

I can see him now. I got a drawing experience this week that I had not anticipated.

I can't draw either; but I used to enjoy getting out the paints and a canvas and giving it a go! Keep at it!
