Destined for heart break...sob sob sob

So two of my stray dogs were allowed to be fed in the cellar of a commercial complex.
The watchman there is actually a lady. She has two kids.
I already mentioned about her son having stolen somebody's vehicle and was being beaten up.
The day before, I went with a few chicken legs for my stray dogs. Munching stuff...
I also give them half liter milk. But since I had not bought it, came from a different direction, I sent this boy to fetch half liter milk. I gave him 50 INR. I asked him balance, he said he used it up.
Now that I feel is wrong. It costs 31 rupees, so 19 is due to me. He cannot expect me to indulge him, nor demand or take it for granted.
Correct me if I am wrong please.
So I said, that he should have asked me. He flared up...the boy barely 10 or 12, flared up at me. Said, don't come here ever if you don't want to give me anything.
Now, I suspect whether his mother is doing the same. I give her money for rice, and lentils and milk for the dogs...every month, because it is easier for her to feed the dogs in time than I. Any non veg, I take and feed personally. Sometimes, I did hand it over to that lady.
My heart is bleeding for my stray dogs...I don't know how to meet them, because I will not be able to feed them.
As per law there should be designated places for feeding stray dogs, but law does not understand that dogs are territorial, and in designated places, it is difficult to feed because there will be too many dogs around. These innocent mongrels will not be able to fight there.
From that day, my heart is heavy...and I am worried if the dogs have received any food at all.
Am I being a chicken...why my mind is not giving me any solutions? Our building folks will kill me if I bring them over. That is for sure. There, I feel, some folks love dogs, so the dogs have refuge of sorts. I gave sheets, for the dogs to sleep on, but never saw the dogs lying on them. I have also not seen the lady feeding the dogs. Only the kids feed the dogs, the biscuits that I take. Come to think of it, they maybe salvaging even from that.
Maybe that is the reason, these mongrels never showed any familiarity with the lady or her kids, and were always following me around.
Feeling cheated.

I think you're correct, the woman and her son are not feeding the dogs but keeping the money and food for themselves or selling it to get the money for themselves. It's not good to trust others with things like that. The son shows he isn't well-trained in how to treat people... I'm sorry that is happening, vanny.
You are right, if the lady and son were really feeding the dogs, then the dogs would follow them around just like they do you.
You can't expect everyone to love dogs... I've told you that I'm scared of being attacked. A lot of people are scared or, at least, very wary around dogs. It doesn't take much for one you think is docile to have a bad day and attack instead.

I agree ... about risks with stray dogs...my 10 don't do that, simply because they look at me as food provider. I am honest about that. They let me pet them, only because of that. Had I never fed them, then petting is not a privilege available to me and unreasonable anger could be in store for me. I guess, they will continue to let me pet them, even if I don't feed. That is how these idiots are..... but I will be the one carrying the guilt. For now, I know they must be waiting for me, and I am also thinking a lot about them.

@vandana7 I'm sorry the solution you thought you'd found isn't viable... But that mother and son can't be trusted to feed them.
Just be careful, please. I don't want anything to happen to you.

I will have to find a way...and I will. I hate accepting defeat...LOL Just that right now, I am not sure what is the way out. There is another building and I could feed these dogs there...but all the bowls etc. cannot be kept out...only to feed on paper...not ok during rains...but at least till the end of May this scheme may work...beyond that....I have to think.

That is one thing about America, well maybe just California or even just where I live. There is not many stray dogs. People will not put up with it. Homeless sure, but they get mad when they see stray dogs. One is they can be quite mean. Homeless people quite nice, most of them.
You are right give them a little cookie or some milk and those mean dogs become your friends. They will follow you, but they know they have been abandoned and will usually leave you alone.
Plus, their true nature takes over scavengers, but maybe if I show my happy face I will get fed more often. Dogs stray or not are amazing at reading a room if their in their right mind.

@vandana7 That's a sign of respect then. Which means you cursed, but it depends on you. There is no answer for that other than these really good dogs, do you want them?

This sounds so wrong... It is the matter of trust and honesty so as duty.
Hopefully you will find some other person to replace the lady, who truely undrrstand your action towards the mongrel.

Here is a picture of them, the younger one, to the left, I even cradle and push out of shops when she decides to follow me in shops. The larger one to the right is mix of cream colored golden retriever with Indie dog, and is extremely friendly. The younger one is hyper active and I am told is mix of many dogs, including shiba inu. She is more of a guard dog than the golden retriever mix. Both jump with joy on me, as soon as they spot me...come running towards me wagging their tails. Whoever said stray dogs cannot care...I can prove them wrong.

Indian streets have way too many dogs. This is the safest place for these two girls. The other place there are two alphas that are always fighting, and the third one is also fighting type...so I cannot take these girls there... I just don't know how to fend for themselves I think ..they are only about four or five years old...and have been fed by folks like me...I have taken charge recently...but others have been feeding them...before I took charge. Worried...
