My Worries Were Baseless

Last month I was looking for a reliable helper who can manage my store in my absence. I didn't find any.
A few days back I had to go to a city in our neighbouring state. I had to stay there for two days only; but due to some unavoidable reasons I could not return for six days.
I was worried about my business.
My father called me and reassured me that he was managing the shop.
My father was a successful businessman; but now he is in his eighties. I don't want him to work hard and get tired. Though he is still fit; but old age affects our capacity to work. His reassurances did not lessen my worries.
Four days ago I came back and was amazed to see how beautifully my father had managed the business in my absence.
I now have more customers. Some of them are those who used to buy things from other shops.
I have yet to learn a lot of things from my father.

We canĀ“t run as we used to, but we are nicer to the people around us when we get old. Yor father will have fun and you will have a wonderful and reliable helper.

That's exactly what I have realised. I'm sure he enjoyed managing the shop. Now I'm confident he can do this job when I'm out of the town But I don't want him to work so hard and get tired.

It's understandable you'd be concered about your father's health. But, if he's as healthy as he can be, given his age, let him help you.

Thank you; my friend. I knew he is fit; but I didn't want him to get tired. But now I have realised he can help me and manage the business better than me. I have yet to learn a lot from him.

Older people may not be as fast as they were when they were younger but, most of the time, they can still get work done if they feel like it. Your dad wanted to help you and I'm glad he did so well.

My dad was a businessman and has a lot of experience. He started helping my grandpa when he was just 18. He helped him even as continuing his studies.
Now he helped his son and so successfully. He attracted more customers by his polite and sweet behaviour.

@DaddyEvil Thanks. I did not know he is still so fit. I asked him how he attracted more customers. He replied he did nothing except behaving politely and sweetly.

Experience doesn't need strength. Your father managed your business with his brain and experiences.

I fully agree with you My father had been a successful businessman. He has a treasure of experiences. He is mentally fit. That's the reason how he managed the business single-handedly and successfully

I have a grocery store. My father is old; but is fit.He has no physical or mental problems. Of course he is now as fast as he was ten or twenty years ago; but he does all his works himself.

@Rimps85 Yes; it is. My store is in a part of my own house.I don't have to pay any rent. The next grocery store is about one and a half kms from here. So people like to buy from my store.
