United States Postal Service (USPS) mail carrier Wayne White was on his delivery route in Hyannis Massachusetts on Friday March 28 when he encountered three wild turkeys that chased him away from the home of their owner.
Wayne had the bad luck of having the turkeys follow him on his next few stops on his delivery route until he was able to get aboard his vehicle and leave the neighborhood safely.
I have heard about dogs chasing mail carriers but this the first time I have heard of wild turkeys chasing mail carriers.

Most likely the van did scare the turkeys.

Geese can be aggressive, so I guess turkeys are too

That is true that turkeys like hogs can be mean sometimes toward humans.

Yikes. We once had turkeys wandering around our neighborhood, but they never chased anyone. They were domesticated turkeys though, I'm pretty sure, plus they were all hens. Don't know if that made a differece.

Most likely being a domestic turkey made a difference not attacking humans.

Three wild turkeys would be a nasty threat for anyone, and it was good that he could escape into his van, and was not riding a pushbike instead.

Just like hogs and chickens can be aggressive toward humans.
