Firefighters who are employed by the Security Fire Department in Colorado answered an emergency call for the weekend to rescue two dogs and three children who went underground. The firefighters were able to locate the children and the dogs who were inside the maze and they were taken out at a manhole safe and sound with no one being injured. The firefighters asking the parents to warn their children not to get inside of storm drainage systems since it is dangerous since animals are inside the storm drains and lack of fresh air inside can be fatal. I am in agreement with you that the kids and dogs were rescued and will think twice of getting into the storm drains.

Kids love to go into secret areas, and pretend with their imaginative games, but this risky experience, hopefully will be a learning experience for them not to do this again. They could have gotten even more lost ,and been even harder to find, and then if a gush of water came through, it might have been curtains for them then too.

You are right since I have been tempted to enter a storm drain myself but I was fearful of getting lost.

I hope those children have learnt their lesson. The outcome could have been much worse.

I hope so as well since I know why it is not wise for anyone to enter a storm drain.

I'm so glad they were discovered and saved. I hope they won't do that again.

I hope so as well since when I was younger I was taught the difference between fantasy and reality when it came to entertainment shows.

I understand why kids today like to imitate their favorite cartoon characters since they do realize that is fictional.
