I ate a piece of cake.

And I cleaned and boiled the mussels I bought. Mussels are cheap in my country. The cheapest grow wild in the sea and others are "raised" by sea food companies. I buy the less expensive. Although you have to clean their shells, you don´t eat shells so nothing is lost. Besides I like to watch them carefully one by one so that they are alive when I place them in the pot to simmer. I bought them to make a mussels risotto for the grandson and GF. I´m not going to buy only expensive thing to eat. I don´t know how long they will stay and I do know that Daniel always eats as if he had not eaten for months. I also bought zuchinni and I´ll make some delicious baked zuchinni. I cut them in half take away the inside and mix it with ground meat, diced caramelized onions and spices. I also add some bread crumbs and top it with grated cheese. It is wonderful and less expensive than meat. But for the moment, I am having a taste of cake. I have discovered that if I serve the cake it is ness expensive than fruit. I also bought bread. Young people eat a lot more bread that I do. So I´m ready for my guests.

@DaddyEvil He is a nice young man. But he DID eat 5 pork steaks. I did not mind it. He fried them himself and washed all the dishes and pots. Later on I´ll have to wash the pots again but he tried.

Glad you are ready for them. Let them do a lot of the work while they are there. They should be doing it on their own

I like more the wild ones than those coming from food companies. You are ready for your guests.

I was talking about the risotto with Daniel and he told me that risottos were very difficult to make. I have made many risottos in my life but that sentence confused me. He had made one with an Italian chef once. Could you send me a recipe online?

@marguicha - This is a recipe for seafood risotto from "La Cucina Italiana" site. You skip the zucchini (I would not add zucchini), but the procedure to make the risotto is correct and the one that also my cousin (who is a Chef) does.

He was very nice. And he left with some of my belongings that I would have had to give away.

Don't let them eat you out of house and home.

@marguicha Even if you can't eat too much, try and stay hydrated. Saying a prayer that your doctor appointment goes well.

If they eat all that you bought, tell them where the store is and let them buy some food to fix. That is more than enough. Hey, cut an extra piece of cake, cover it well, and hide it in your room for yourself. You know that they will eat every bit of it, so plan ahead!

It seems that after I talked with Tania, she called Daniel. He came alone and was very nice to me. He discovered that I had bigger health problems than what he had thought
