Today we will collect all cartons, bottles and containers that are stored all over the place. They will all be sorted out and kept in one place. Some will be discarded. That will save our time in searching. Most of these are from online shopping and also from food that we order sometimes. They are useful to store stuff in the fridge and in the pantry. Since there is no watering to do - thanks to the rain - we have time to put order here and there.

Last summer I threw away a lot of containers for food. I had way to many. I use and reuse them.

I only keep glass jars around to collect the grease from cooking meats so it doesn't get put down the drain and cause problems. I throw away the bottles in the trash when they're full. I keep plastic containers in one cabinet so they're easy to find when we're storing something in the fridge and keep Ziploc Freezer bags on hand when I want to keep something in the freezer. Those get thrown away after I've used them.

I am quite organized that way and this has happened because I left it to the maids ' Collecting grease from cooking is not something I have ever done.

@DaddyEvil May be there is not much grease in the food that we cook and also cleaning the pipes is easy here - it leads to coconut trees

@allknowing On the farm, mom kept it to feed to the pigs. When we moved into the city, we kept it and threw it away. If you wash it down the sink while washing dishes, the grease will congeal and trap other stuff and clog the drain. It's cheaper to collect the grease and throw it away.

My major problem is finding storage places for empty containers.

There is no problem with storage here and that is the problem Because there is space they have been stored all over And that is what I want to correct. Sort out and keep them all in one p\ace. Today we will be doing that I am just waiting .

Sorting and decluttering will definitely make things easier in the long run. It’s amazing how much space those containers can take up without us even realizing.
