what motivates you to do a little more?

My world has had some doozy rain squalls. Of course the grass and weeds have grown like monsters on steroids. I invited my gardening buddy over to get in some mowing- she does love and needs to make money.
Meantime our two growing boxes and their screens arrived. Hubby had quite the time putting them together. I packed them out into the yard. Gardening buddy packed a bag of dirt over. I had old but hopefully still good pea seeds so I put them into the boxes. The yard looks tons better. The perennial geraniums are more noticeable now that the tall grass is down.
Later I felt strong enough to spend about ten minutes with Moxe. We practiced heeling and following me even if I turned suddenly to the right in a circle. Moxe did well at walking beside me on the left side as we went through the front gate, out of the front gate and back through. She worked hard at being graceful and keeping to my left. I can tell that she has Heeler and Border Collie in her besides Husky. She also got the idea of waiting for me to go up the front steps- very important safety manuever. I really must get out and work her more.

So good for you to be out in the fresh air and hopefully sunshine. Glad you are tidying your property.

@GardenGerty I am pretty tired of living so close to others but I can't do anything about it.

It sounds like you are doing an excellent job with her. What motivates me to do more? I guess the passing of time. I’m so desperate to feel better and do more. I’m 44, and I’m scared of what I’ll feel like at 54. So I’m doing my very best at trying to improve any aspect of my life I can right now.

@AmbiePam I hope better, stronger days are ahead for you. I was about your age when I tackled that old mare. She left me coping with health things that never went away. I was helping seniors in their homes when I was your age, not knowing that hubby would finally, oh so finally, get a decent job and our lives would boom, change. I mean massively change, location, monetarily, you name it, change zipped in.
