Natural and Nutritional Hacks

I am always reading about health and nutritional ideas. I have found some and wanted to share them. Here are just a few: * Eat 2 kiwis one hour before bedtime each day to improve sleep quantity and quality. This fruit is rich in serotonin, the happy hormone. * Onion skins. These contain more antioxidants that the onion. Simmer them in stews, soups and any stocks for added nutrition and flavor. They can be removed before serving. * To detox the liver. Use milk thistle, dandelion root, turmeric, burdock root, schisandra berries, artichoke leaves, peppermint, chicory root, yellow dock root, and lemon peel. All or some of these can be made into a tea to flush out toxins in the liver. * For an all-natural home freshener put the peeling from lemons and/or oranges in a jar. Add some witch hazel and water. Let steep and then put in a spray bottle.

I am particularly interested in the first one that you mentioned, as I have difficulty sleeping the night through at times. I will try that. I was aware of the other suggestions.

Oh, good. If you get a ripe kiwi you can just scoop the pulp out with a spoon. That's what I do.

My husband puts a drop of lavender oil on a hanky and puts it under his pillow. He is quite sure it helps him sleep.

It's probably relaxing. Many people have their own things that help them personally and may not help others.
