Can’t eat many things for eight days

Passover is starting tonight. That means no bread, no grains, no rice, no pasta, no legumes, and no sesame seeds. Also, can’t have mayo or ketchup as it has vinegar in it. And baked goods are out of the question if there is flour in it. All this until the Sunday after this one.
Gonna have to figure out what to eat for breakfast and dinner for the next week. Breakfast is easier to figure out than dinner. So far, not sure what to make other than matzo ball soup.
It won’t be easy not having my usual baked treats but I’ll manage. Maybe I’ll find some coconut macaroons. I love those.

Happy Passover! I hope you can find enough food for you and Lenny to eat.

Some meat or fish and then veggies for a side or some salad should be good for dinner. Just gotta figure out what exactly to do.

Happy Passover! I hope you can make it the entire week abstaining from anything that has yeast in it.
Hey, I have to ask you something, and this isn't a jab at religion or anything like that, just curiosity. In the Scriptures, God (YHWH) set up a sacrificial system for the atoning of sins. Historically, the Jews would sacrifice animals for atonement. Christians believe that Jesus took the place of the sacrifice of animals and became the ultimate sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins. In modern times, how do Jews atone for sins? Nobody sacrifices bulls and goats and sheep anymore, so what is the "sacrifice" that is given to God for forgiveness of sins? I've always wondered about that.

Can’t have anything that has flour in it aside from matzo and what’s made from matzo.

This is not a fast though. You’re just not allowed to eat certain things.

It sure does. I wouldn’t consider myself religious but I observe some holidays and I stay away from pork, shellfish, crustaceans, and seafood like eel, squid, and octopus.

I’m not a baker. I’d have to see if I can find one in the store.

That’s what we have to do during this holiday. Why exactly I’m not sure.

Good idea. I may do that.
The restrictions are for only eight days thankfully.
