What's for lunch?

I am sitting here eating a Udong Thai (I believe) salad. It is really pretty good. I guess I have had rice noodles before, but I don't know when. I guess maybe when I had Thai food in a restaurant. a few years ago. This is good, and a change from the usual suspects. Do you like Thai food? Have you ever had a Thai salad?

I do like Thai food, although it has probably been a year since I’ve had it. I had a bagel with flank steak, and sautéed onions. It was really good.

That sounds good. I might have half a bagel for breakfast, or maybe a snack. I don't have Thai often at all. They don't sell much of that kind of stuff around here really..Although we do have a Japanese restaurant, which is one of the better ones around here.

@snowy22315 My dad took me to a nice little Thai place a little over a year ago for my 43rd birthday. It was so good.

@AmbiePam Thai food is good, you have to be wary of the heat level in what you are buying though. The first time I had Thai food I don't remember what I got, but my eyes were watering. I drank a whole glass of water. Wow, was it hot..whatever I had. That must have been in the days before they were marking hot dishes with little peppers.

Fortune cookies are usually served with Chinese food. I never had them at a Thai place.

We used to have a tiny little Thai place near the city where we used to live. I haven't had it in years, but it was nice from what I recall. I have never had the salad that you describe. Supper tonight here will be a turkey thigh roast. They only take 60-70 minutes to bake, which is a refreshing change.

@snowy22315 I try to make mashed potatoes on Sundays because then Ron can take the leftovers, which is usually more than we actually eat, to our son's place so that he can feed it to the girls for lunches for the following week. He will take them some stuffed pasta shells with marinara sauce too this week, I have some made up in the freezer. They are better eaters with him bringing food because it widens what they would normally get. Our son and his wife eat much differently than we do.

We don't have a nice Thai cafe over here. Wish we did. I love peanut sauce.

I don't mind Thai food as long as it's not too spicy. It's been a while since I had it.

I know I have had Tom Ka soup before. That is moderately spicy, but quite delicious.
