The United States Coast Guard (USCG) answered an emergency call on Friday morning when a scallop boat ran aground off an island in Boston Harbor.
The USCG officials are investigating reports may the captain of the 86 foot boat named Eilleen Rita out of New Bedford ran ground at Green Island.
The Boston Police Department sent a small boat to rescue the captain and two crew members when they were taken to EMS when they landed on the ground.
Thank goodness no one was hurt in the incident. Since the accident happened on low tide, the captain may have fallen asleep.
The fishermen are grateful that the USCG did recue the captain and crew after the accident happened.

It's a relief to hear that everyone involved in the incident was unharmed. Situations like this highlight the importance of safety and vigilance while out at sea, especially during low tide. It's great that the USCG and Boston Police were able to respond quickly and effectively to ensure the well-being of the crew. Hopefully, this serves as a reminder for all fishermen to remain alert while navigating challenging conditions.
