Due to the Holy Week, banks will be closed starting Thursday.
We are anticipating early release of pay this month. We only get paid once a month and we are going to save extra because the next pay is on May 20th.
If I get paid from my full time job tomorrow, I can pay my internet bill early instead of waiting April 20.
Despite the holiday, we, on the other hand, will not close the operations at work.

It always sucked when we had to work even on holidays... Management tried to make it even among the associates and we only had to work every other holiday but still... When Pretty was little, that mattered to me a lot. After she was an adult, I didn't care so would volunteer to take the place of other associates who still had little kids.

We are allowed to take leaves during the holiday. But most of us reported to work. And guess, you know why?
Yeah, we all desire to be with the family during holidays. I want to go home in the province but my sister told me that she is visiting with her kids.

@jobelbojel If nobody will be home, then you might as well work and eatn money.

Good for them. Rank and file are paid holiday pay if reported to work on a holiday but the supervisors and up are not qualified, so they take time offs instead.

Holy Week will be challenging for me as well since my work schedule will not change that much since I work at home.

Good thing that there is a work at home set up. I can also save for 1 week because they allowed us to work at the comfort of home during this holiday week.

I understand. One and a half years ago I was an employee in a company. I would wait for my salary every month.I didn't like it.Now I have my own business.

@jobelbojel I wish you have a business of your own soon. By the way; would you please explain to me what "Holy Week" is??

We cannot close the operations in my work. If we do, no one will answer customers' calls and take care of emails. If during the shutdown, their equipment is unresponsive, they us and the technicians to work with them. If the servers are down during the holiday break, our internet access will be affected.
