Does a person's look matter to you?

Changing the perception of some people who believe that looks are everything. is hard. Some good looks could be biased, or superficial. Based on the experiences of many people there is a distinct connection between looks and the economic state of an individual. Economically speaking looks are an advantage to an employee based on their looks. Also, attractive men and women show more potential to get hired for a job and advance than unattractive men and women. In this sense, it is the negative side of looks that is biased in the economic state of the people. How could they land a job if the basis is personality and not skills? It sounds unfair. It hurts those who lack a good look. What would happen to the company if hired only people with a pleasing personality and not the skills and experiences? It is biased. The context of being happy is that improving a person’s appearance can bring happiness. In today's world, the look is no longer the basis for accepting applicants but skills, good attitudes, experiences, and educational qualifications.

People seem pretty superficial nowadays. If people don't look right they don't want to associate with them. It's sad. It was going on in my early years too. But there all kinds of people in the world and they all have their own way of looking at things.

for job area, i feel the same; looks and private details shouldn't matter. i mean, if someone has a lot of teeth missing well, maybe this person would be hard to get hired cause, it is not a nice sight. in personal area, we maybe all like when someone is handsome but that can't last forever if the person is rude and not suitable for us.

@grenery8, it's the picture of our society this time hiring only the beauties especially in banks, sales representatives, nurses, or doctors. They have many customers or clients. They are after of beautiful faces. Those not so appealing find it hard to get a job

@May2k8, that's true looks might be deceiving. I prefer good attitude over good looking treacherous.

I was teased mercilessly as a child for the way I looked, so I tend to ignore “looks.”

A person's attitude and personality matter the most to me, not the look.

@Beestring yeah me too matter how pretty or handsome a person is if the attitude is rotten, they will be defeated with those not so lovely but having a good attitude that matters most.
