So lets see what I got for $55 today from Walmart.
I got half a pound of ginger root for $1.93.
18 oz of Pete's French Roast ground coffee for $15,97.
64 oz of Great Value Half and Half for $5.64.
20 oz Great Value mustard for .98 cents.
4.5 pounds of lean ground chuck for $24.43.
16 oz of GV Parmesan Cheese for &5.48
A huge garlic bulb fresh for .64 cents.
Is that an average price for meat where you are?

How much was the meat per pound? Seems a lot.

Grocery prices are on hike here too. Eggs, chicken, fish or any other sort of meat have got expensive here too.

Meat is more expensive in my country. At least the meat I buy which is the best. I spend less in other things though. I do not buy beverages at all.

Meat has gotten outrageous here. Many other foods have too.

Meat is expensive here but it doesn't work to try to equate it to your prices. Everything seems to be going up.

The price of meat here depends on where they come from. Local and those imported from China are cheaper. Japanese and US meat are more expensive.

Not bad at all. I remember when my grandmother could get a good-sized roast( big enough to feed four of us) for $3. Those days are LONG gone.

I must be honest. I do not look at prices when it comes to my needs.

The meat and coffee seem a little high compared to prices here.
