In the 1970s we moved away from US products. When the US underthrew our Gov, US stuff began to fill the country.
We slowly began moving away from the US and were 'invaded' by China which swamps our markets.
There are very few US vehicles, most Japanese, Korean or the high level German. Virtually no electronic goods.
We started making lots of local products which fill our shelves.
With this tariff thing we are aligning more with other Caribbean countries, Canada, etc. so that we should not experience much dislocation with Trump's actions.
The only people who will suffer will be Americans. The only people that don't realise it are Americans

Even those of us who are not politically minded see what is happening. We just can't do anything about it.

@jaylar That's because those in office love trump and they're after the money he represents.

I think countries should be more interested in locally sourced goods,

@jaylar I meant and mean that you are speaking of Americans in a general one size fits all description. We Americans are individuals. I do realize what is going on but I am not able to stop my fellow Americans who voted for Trump or just did NOT vote at all.
