Tired of Them Already

Molina Health dropped my insurance plan so I have gone with Humana health insurance since the first of the year. I had heard they were a good company. I decided to use their mail pharmacy option. I had a lot of my three prescriptions left and so when I got an email telling me they would be sending my meds out soon I called them. I explained the situation to the rep and he assured me I was put off the auto refill and could just call them when I needed more. That was on March 20th.
So yesterday(April 14) I got all three of my prescriptions, 100 each. I called them and explained again. No apology, just the assurance, again, that she did take me off the auto refill. Why am I not sure that will actual be done?
Sure they can send me a return label and I can send them back. I shouldn't have to. I had never used the mail pharmacy before in any of the health insurance companies I have used.
Ridiculous.

I don't know if you are aware of the fact that many of us are truly struggling at times to even FIND the medications that we, and/or our loved ones, need. Or we run around from one pharmacy to another....you are lucky that they are ahead of your needs, seriously!! We are living in tumultuous times, if you can have some extra, it may be a good thing if they get harder to get than they are now!

I am well aware as my grandson had to do just what you described recently. I kept the meds they sent for just the reason you talk about. My problem is that they didn't do what I asked them to do.

@MarieCoyle .......I know how that is. My grandson has one that is controlled, and he can only get the prescription with the script in hand at the pharmacy. It has been a headache a few times.

I understand. I do a lot of worrying when we can't get my son's meds and he has to do without them for Xmany days until they arrive. I would be thrilled if we had a cushion of a few days to a week of the hard to get meds, it would eliminate a lot of stress.

Without transportation that becomes a problem. I would rather go to the pharmacy too but the pharmacy here close to us is no longer one this insurance uses.

I wouldn't have called them or cancelled the auto-fill. It's better to get your medicine early and just keep it. There's nothing wrong with getting refills early. The meds won't go bad that fast.

I just don't want a lot of meds setting around when someone might be needing them. I had three or four months worth already.
