An emu that was seen on the roads of Broome County in New York since last summer was captured by officials with the Animal Adventure Park & Preserve around the first week of April.
The emu who is female and is called Lilith was seen near The Preserve Safari was captured by zookeepers and taken from the Safari Reserve to the Animal Adventure Park & Reserve which will be quarantined before Lilith can join the other emus and live out the rest of her life happily ever after.

Lucky Lilith. An emu was running around in the county South of here, and I am not sure they ever found it. I never heard anything else about it after they were looking for it for about 10 days.

I am in agreement with you that Lilith is lucky to have found safe and sound.

A loose emu could cause havoc if a car hit it, or swerved to hit it. It was good that it has now been safely confined to the Animal Adventure Park & Reserve.

It's great to hear that Lilith, the emu, has finally been captured and will be taken care of properly at the Animal Adventure Park & Preserve. It’s amazing that officials were able to rescue her and ensure she gets the care she needs. I hope her quarantine period goes well so she can eventually join the other emus and enjoy a happy life. It's nice to see the community coming together for the well-being of wildlife!
