Well that went better than expected

My mother got here this afternoon just as I was finishing up with the tutoring student. She brought me some gifts because that's just what she does. She spent about 30 minutes trimming my hair. It is a much better length now. She was on her best behavior so we had a pleasant conversation. When she was finished she asked if I wanted to go get something for dinner at the pizza place around the corner. I said yes so we headed out. Dinner was good and she continued to behave. I brought my leftovers home so I will have lunch (or breakfast ) for tomorrow. I'm back here at the apartment and catching up with the news. I'm glad to see that she was willing to come here again (she was here 2 or 3 weeks ago to take me out for my birthday). For several years she has complained that she can't climb up to the 3rd floor. Maybe we can have dinner together on a more regular basis. We shall see.
