I saw this idea back in the fall and passed it along to the teachers in charge of the school spirit team/club. We often have "spirit weeks" before things like Homecoming, pep rallies, Christmas, Easter, etc. Each day has a theme (pajama day, twin day, grunge day, etc.) and both students and staff are encouraged to participate. (I never do because I never have anything to wear that goes with the theme)
This shortened week, though, we have been doing a staff-only underground spirit week. Staff has been following the themes but not telling the students what is going on. This week the themes are:
--Monday: Monday Mourning (dress in all black)
--Tuesday: Disney day
--Wednesday: Animal print day
--Thursday: Anything but a cup (drink your drink in anything but a cup)
On Monday the students noticed the black and thought it was because someone had died. Tuesday they started asking why they saw so many teachers wearing Mickey/Minnie ears and they started giving vague answers like they needed a headband or they were twinning with their child. Today was the animal print day and either teachers have let it slip or the students finally caught on. Someone came up to me on hall duty and asked me where my leopard print was. I was like "do you seriously think I own ANYTHING with an animal print?" What made me laugh was a very spirited coworker in my wing and department was walking by and was like "NJChicaa! An animal! Good job!" I was wearing a Vineyard Vines sweatshirt that had a whale both on the front and back of it. I can assure you that was entirely coincidental.
Tomorrow's day I can do though--"anything but a cup". I normally drink ice water from my 40 ounce Stanley tumbler. Tomorrow I will drink it from a mason jar. Who knows what others will use? Ziploc bags? Buckets? Bowls? Measuring cups? I will be interested to see what other people come up with.
The spirit club will post the actual challenge to their Instagram account so the students can see what the staff has been up to.

Being a good southerner, I always drink from a jug.
Too bad I can’t get your some moonshine before tomorrow morning.
