Hello everyone. I hope your day is off to a good start. It is 37 degrees F and dark here at the Jersey Shore. The high for today is 62. I'm ready for summer! I slept right through to the alarm this morning. I'm still feeling tired. Ugh. Today is a half-day at work so we are out at 11:15. Class periods are less than 30 minutes. I just tested human genetics yesterday so I definitely am not going to start a new topic the day before spring break. The students can just select one of the games that I have and play amongst themselves. I have Uno, Jenga, Clue, Apples to Apples, Shut the Box, those tubes where you have to find various items like a penny, a coloring poster, etc. Because I am still feeling half-asleep I am fantasizing about a nap when I get back here. That is all well and good but I have 2 hours of tutoring this afternoon starting at 1pm so that would be a short nap. Hopefully I will be feeling more human by then and I'll just power through. No big plans for the afternoon beyond that. I am definitely happy to have gotten to spring break. Just 2 months left until we are done for the summer. What's everyone else up to today?

I can't believe that there's only 2 months of school left. It just seems like the little ruffians just went back to school.

I’m up too early. (Got up at 8:45, I know, “cry me a river.”) I’m at the doctor’s right now. Then I’m free until April 29, when my brother has his rotator cuff surgery. I’ll go eat then go home and sleeeeeeeeep.

Since it's Spring Break Time after today, hopefully you can get caught up on your sleep. And while you're at it, sleep a little extra for me, too! Letting the students play some games, etc. the last day is a nice gesture. Plus, you definitely don't want to start a project or a topic right before a break. We have big winds today and the sun forgot us, but hey...it's not really cold and it isn't hot yet, so I am happy about not having to run heat or AC!

I woke up early to a nice reggae beat on the clock radio, which put me in a good mood. But I was unsteady on my feet, then Juanita phoned saying she didn't sleep well last night so she wasn't coming down in time to go to the Centre with me today (supposed to be having a special Easter lunch). That put me in a bad mood. Now I don't know if I should take my walker out of storage, try using my scooter without having practiced on it, or just say phook it and stay home. At least it's sunny out and 2°C on the plus side, might get up to 12°C/54°F.

I am into my two months long summer vacation, but yes continuing with my afternoon therapy classes till this month end. Going for a total break in May for my scheduled surgery and recovery phase. June would be back to work. Generally, the last day of any break would be more with some fun activities and games. Students too go in fun and holidays mood.. Hope that you can catch up with some good nap later.
