Hello everyone, how are you all doing?
I thought I would share something different today. This is a poem from my poetry book that I self published. It didn't do well, so I feel that I may as well share a couple of the poems here. I did in the past....but here is another. This poem was written many years ago...in a different time of my life. What do you all think?
If you took away the pain,
Then what would you find?
A little bit of loneliness,
or some peace of mind?
Would you wake tomorrow worried,
or just divine?
If you take away the hurt,
then what is left?
Your former self
or someone you never met?
Would you smile or cry,
when you look your true self directly in the eyes?
If you take away the lies,
do you find the truth?
If you take it all back,
what would it be worth?
If it does not matter the cost,
then does it matter what was lost?

A thoughtful poem, that asks interesting questions.
If I looked my true self in the eye, would I find my true self looking back at me, or would I make the jump into my true self, and so be then that true self, in my life?
