We are talking about locally sourced, unpasteurized honey. There have been some who feel the compounds in the honey improve your tolerance to the allergens in your local area.
Honey has natural antibacterial properties that help fight bacteria. It also heals wounds, fights infection, and balances moisture. This means it helps to heal and prevent acne.
Instead of sweet and artificial ingredients in energy drinks, pop, and sweet teas drink tea with honey or even water sweetened with honey.
Older people can benefit by ingesting raw honey. Studies have shown it can prevent hormone-related cognitive decline.
Raw honey can also help with blood sugar levels and can help those with trouble sleeping through the night. It is also effective against flaky skin conditions like eczema and dandruff.
A little warm water and a tablespoon of raw honey can create a moisturizing shampoo. It can also be used as a skin care product to both cleanse and moisturize. It contains antioxidants that fight signs of aging.
Being rich in prebiotics, which provides fuel for healthy bacteria in the lower intestine. It does not ferment in the stomach, so it is known to fight nausea and indigestion.

I have a co worker whose husband keeps bees. They do not sell a lot of honey but I do buy some every year. It is no more expensive that what they sell in the store and I know exactly where this comes from.

I don't either, but I like in tea and some baked goods. It also makes a good ingredient in rubs for meat.

The product sold in the store has to be pasteurized to be able to sell it. But getting it locally is so much better.
