Easter Egg Hunting

Today there was a community Easter Egg Hunt that we attended.
Our son and daughter-in-law and the twins were there when we arrived. They were playing on the swings.
The 'admission' for today's event was non-perishables for the food bank. Our son found out the small city that they are trying to stock up for their food bank, and really showed his generosity. He brought a case of 6 big jugs of apple juice and a case of Kraft macaroni and cheese. We also brought juice, but we bought big packs of juice boxes, as children like to take those to school as well as some boxes of Fruit Loops cereal.
On our way out to the edge of the park, where the hunt was to take place, Harper found this bunny, just her size, and she hugged him with all of her might. She did not want anything to do with the adult dressed up in a bunny costume, he was too big and she held my hand and squeezed it tight and asked me to pick her up, she was afraid. I took her away from that because I didn't want her to have nightmares. Eventually she and Willow did make their way kind of close to the bunny, but only when they had Grandpa with them.

Willow and Harper make the cutest bunnies. I agree about the big scary bunny that is how I felt about clowns
I hope you all have a great Easter,

@Juliaacv thank you. I think I am spending this Easter with a spirit just wish I knew who. I keep my bathroom door closed since it opens up onto the workroom, The door has been popping open lately and just a short time before slammed shut making me jump. I am used to spirits just wondering what's up this time,

Sounds like a fun day but I can understand how Harper didn't like the big bunny. A lot of my grandkids were afraid of people dressed up as characters when they were young.
Hope you and your family have a wonderful Easter

I remember those hunts when the kids were young. How nice of your husband to make this donation.

Thank you, I would do anything for those girls.
Harper was holding my hand, but when we approached the big bunny, her holding got tighter and tighter, and her steps got slower and slower. I realized that she was frightened.
She loved this little bunny though.

That must have been a fun time. They are a good age for that.

It is so funny that costumed characters that are meant to attract children actually scare them off instead.
I love when events/organizations do food drives for local charities. We have a huge craft festival here in town each December that attracts thousands and thousands of people. The admission to get in is a donation of non-perishable goods for a local food bank. People are always so generous and bring bag loads or boxes of boxed and canned foods, when in reality they could get by with bring like one box or one canned item. It makes my heart warm to see the generosity of people.
Happy Easter to you and your family!
