It's here again

It's Good Friday. Hubby's Pastor delivered a relevant to the sad times that the United States lives in message last night. Jesus was a pawn in the politics of His day. He got caught up in the political drama and horror of His time. Pastor said our current mistreatment of humans brings her back to those Biblical times. She believes in love and the sanctity of life. She believes in Jesus's message of caring for your neighbor. Hearing her crying really brought home to me what Good Friday means. I never thought politics would be so deeply personal and here it is. Food banks won't get the funds they need; the Salvation Army is having trouble and will have to restrict their food giving. Hello Good Friday. Hello our current reality.

How lucky are we to have Caligula in charge of the US?

@snowy22315 I am gutted and worried deeply. Americans against Americans, just like in Civil War times.

@AmbiePam Hearing the anguish in the Pastor's voice really brought the meaning of Good Friday to me.

There are a lot of families that need the food. Children are going to go without food. Not right at all/

When cut backs are needed - or even not needed - it's always the charities and poorer people who suffer. Space programs don't get dropped too often.
