My son is leaving, and I might too.

It was my son’s last day on Thursday so I will no longer be working with him. I’m happy for him but sad I will not see him as much now. Due to our work schedules I was able to see him 2-3 times a week. It is a better schedule for him, more money and benefits are pretty much the same. I know he was getting burnt out on that job so probably a good thing this one came along. Now that he has left, I will be putting in a transfer, which I should have done long ago. The store I am trying to transfer to is less than half the distance I travel now so that will save me money and time not to mention the wear and tear on my car. It would be the same pay, same position so all that stays the same. Now that my son left no need for me to be way out there. Hope it all works out for him.

I think you’re making a wise decision, and I am glad you have been able to work with your son before this.

Thank you, yeah, I enjoyed being able to see him and grab a few lunches together, but since he is gone now, I might as well save myself the time and money and get closer to home.
