There were also McCall, remember?
Are you as aged as me and remember these cute patterns?
This particular example is from the 60s.
I so wished I could sew.
I never did learn a lot on machines as Mamas was sort of off limits.
Did you ever make any of these or did your Mom or Grandma?

There was another one, too it seems like. Can't think of the name. I remember the fiasco I made in Home Ec. Just a short-sleeved blouse, and it turned out terrible. My mom could make one, not even needing a pattern.

I am no good in sewing and never was. My mother wanted me to learn specially when I got engaged. My poor husband bought me a machine and later realised how poor I was in stitching and he learnt to use it himself (lol)

My mom had an old Singer sewing machine but later years she used it as a table and did not sew anything, I remember the patterns and once asked mom if I could try to sew something, It seemed easy but I did not get very far not a sewing person at all I discovered,

I don’t have personal memories of McCall, but I’ve definitely seen some of those vintage patterns from the 60s! They have such a charming style. It’s interesting how sewing and crafting can be passed down through generations. I’ve always admired those who can sew; it seems like such a valuable skill. Did your mom or grandma make a lot of clothes? I’d love to hear more about the patterns they used!

They didn't make a lot of clothes but they did make a lot of aprons.

I'm sure my mom had many of these patterns . . . I remember the big ol' catalogs at the fabric stores. I loved the thin brown tissue like paper the patterns were. I loved how my mom would pin them to the fabric. She used to sew a lot of clothing way back when - that probably stopped by the time I was 12. I learned to sew a little from her - but I learned to use the machine in sewing class - 7th grade.

Those patterns bring back some good memories. My mom taught me to sew so I used to make myself a lot of clothes and certainly used those patterns.

I remember these well. I made a few things in my time but I was never very good at it.
