As stated yesterday, Our yard looked a little bad. Nothing too serious, but still good work needed done. One of our neighbors was driving by and offered to do it for us, and George agreed. When he returned to do the work, he asked us for payment. Charged us 40 to do it. We relutently agreed, not wanting to get into details with him. My husband now is down to ones, because I've had to use cash a couple times already, and save it for a last resort.
But, that wasn't the part I'm refering to. During the time, a bee flew up his nose (the neighbor, not George) and stung him. He claims to be alergic, but didn't know what an Epi pen was. And claimed to be going to the E.Rei. and made a big deal about it.
Made sure he got his money, though. Which is why I don't want to pay people. But, he also got the joy of listening to George complain about not being able to do the work himself.

Good Lord a bee sting up his nose well if he had been allergic and it was so bad I believe he just had a bee in his bonnet 
I say good he wanted to help but avoid that neighbor. When I was little I got stung in the ear by a bee and my grandma had to pull the bugger out with tweezers thank heavens I had no allergy but benn terrified of bees ever since,

His nose was running, and it did swell, but that'd happen with any sting.

I tell ya, I am getting more and more not wanting to deal with people. I don't go out anymore, mostly because of social anxiety, but more and more every day I hear some story like yours that just repels me. I've just come across too many like this neighbor of yours. When I was a kid, I lived with my grandparents, and all of the neighbors knew one another and were happy to do things for one another. Not so nowadays.

@celticeagle I know bees and wasps are around, I saw a wasps nest on the ground by our trash bin. But, it's a risk you take when you disturb bugs. What annoyed me, he made a big deal about going to the er, called some people, and made sure he got his money.

There was a couple and his wife who trimmed our yard for free. And, as I stated last night, ny next door neighbor let me have it over that. Complaining that I didn't pay them. what a pain.
