There is no such thing as a “safe space” amongst nearly any group of people.

Especially online. What’s said here might stay here if it doesn’t hold enough value to be worth spreading. Yes, there are people who are safe (usually those bound by law or the church. And even that has a limit, but it’s a reasonable one) There are obviously exceptions, but none of them are online. The good news is, while there is no safe space on the internet and no one can be trusted, you can make yourself harder to find. If someone wanted to find this account they probably could. But it would take a lot more effort. So I still have to be careful here I don’t have to worry as much. What do you think of “safe space” is there a more realistic term?

One of the best discoveries of man is the internet. It can help us in many ways by opening opportunities to learn, to communicate and to earn money. But there are many people who are taking advantage of the situation up to the extent of doing things that could hurt other people. Because of these, we should always be careful especially in sharing personal information online.

It’s the best and the worst. It spies on us and makes us addicts. We catfish people. There is a lot of money to be had with conning people. I know, I fell for one. Lost $30. The internet can be good, Sites like Wikipedia are good. And social networks are good to a certain extent. However in a way nothing changed much, we’ve always had this problem. Now it’s just faster.

the internet has become a brain controlling tool where scammers set up frauds and hoaxes, tricks and other negative things because they are aware most people are computer illiterate.

@jaylar They definitely know how to manipulate people especially those who have a little knowledge on how internet works. That is why if we have family members who are not very knowledgeable on how internet works, we should guide them if they need to transact business online. If not, we should just let them do the things manually.

i agree with you; instead of being safer, internet isn't that safe as we thought.

@Zola38 The Anti-virus takes care of a lot of what would harm us and the rest is in our hands.
