Because of course. . .
I don't think she is Catholic but she loves to talk about Christian values so she must be some version of Christian. So she did what every good Christian did yesterday and posted her happiness about Pope Francis' death.

She posted: "Today there were major shifts in global leaderships. Evil is being defeated by the hand of God."
Obviously she disagreed with the Pope on immigrants, the environment, and the blessing of same-sex marriages. She could have tried to be classy and just kept her nastiness to herself but hey this is MTG. The best clapback I saw on Twitter was from Democrat representative Jared Moskowitz who asked "If you are here, who is running hell?"
Of course her post will play well with the MAGAts. For them the nastiness and the cruelty is the point.

Marjorie Taylor Greene declared that "Evil is being defeated by the hand of God" on Monday morning in an apparent celebration of the death of Pope Francis.

I disagree with her comments, but I also do not feel Pope Franic was on the right side of so many issues. That doesn't mean I would celebrate his passing, of course. To me, unfortunately, the entire Catholic establishment is in disarray and has been for a very long time.

What do you disagree with? I have always been impressed with how humble he has been and his love for the homeless, immigrants, the underserved, etc. The fact that he wanted a plain wooden coffin, for it to be placed in the ground, and for only one word to be inscribed "Franciscus" is incredible when you consider how ornate he could have been.
