More weird financial stuff, I do get excellent rates for auto insurance with my insurance company, but of course I was shopping around to see if I could find something better for the new vehicle. I found an agency that appeared to have better rates, after getting a quote online. I called them this morning and gave them my DL ID number and they jacked the rate up like 500 dollars! Now, that is crazy considering I had one ticket 2 years ago! It was for speeding but it wasn't like I was going 100 miles over the speed limit or anything. She said well you have 2 points on your record. Oh please..that is nothing. I am staying with my old insurance company. They aren't expecting payment right away anyway.

Insurance is one of the most crooked things out there. You have a wreck and your rates go up. You DON’T have a wreck and your rates go up. They explain that as “insurance is a cooperative.” No, it’s not. If it were truly a “cooperative,” they wouldn’t be using MY insurance premiums to spend $435 million for stadium naming rights!!! (That’s how much Progressive Insurance [not my company] paid for the naming rights of the baseball stadium in Cleveland.)

Keeping a record of 'wong doing' and quoting a higher rate is not fair. Good you have decided to stick to your old company
