Thanks to the team up of the San Bernadino Sheriff's Department (SBSD), the San Bernadino Fire And Sheriff's Aviation Team who answered an emergency call on Sunday April 20 when an all-terrain vehicle fell down 30 to 40 feet down a canyon with one of the four persons aboard the vehicle fell off of and he needed to be rescued.
Rescuers were able to use a hook to a helicopter crew hoisted the injured man to a local hospital to a nearby center to be treated for his injuries
The three other passengers that were in the accident were waiting near the damaged vehicle.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is investigating the cause of the accident.

Kudos to the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department, Fire, and Aviation teams for the swift response! It’s amazing how coordinated efforts like this can save lives. I’m actually planning to visit the San Bernardino area sometime next month, so I’ll definitely keep this incident in mind and make safety a top priority—especially when exploring rugged terrain. Hope the injured person recovers quickly.

I see people going way too fast on those all-terrain vehicles on television. I hope the man wasn't badly injured.

That was a protracted, and difficult, rescue involving helicopters, and it was good the rescue was successful, and the man could be removed from the vehicle, and lifted out.
