My tires are filled with nitrogen

I happened to notice that the tires on the new vehicle were filled with nitrogen. They are Costco tires, which should allow me to get a refill on them. As a matter of fact it has a sticker to bring it in for inflation in a few thousand miles. I never heard of putting nitrogen in tires, but apparently it holds air better and keeps your tires properly inflated and more stable. It may also make the tire last longer. I have a Costco membership, so should be able to get the inflation done at the stated time.

@snowy22315 I think - think - I saw them do it on Mythbusters ages ago. I’m just not sure.

I would suppose most name brand tire stores would have it as an option.

@Ineeddentures I am not sure how long they have been around here honestly. I think at least a few years

When I read the original post I phoned a friend and asked him if he knew about it.
He said no. He didn't think we had nitrogen compressors here yet.

Honestly, I hadn't heard of it either but I think it is common with newer cars.

I had never heard of putting nitrogen in tyres either.
I've never seen it mentioned here at all.
Anyway. When you inflate your tyres with air, do you have to pay if you do it at a gas station?
Is filling them with nitrogen more expensive?
Finally, does the car drive better than a car drives with air in the tyres

I don't know the answer to those questions as I have only had this car since Sunday and have only driven it twice. They say it makes the tires more stable. Some stations may have free air. The one close to me charges for it.

When ever I get a new to me vehicle I drive it as much as I can for about a week so I get to know it.
For example. Bought a new motorbike one week ago and I have driven it 800 miles already.
So now I know it. Haven't given it a name yet.
