My dad was born on April 23, 1905. I became daddy's little girl when I was born on March 1, 1957 and he left me and my mom on November 15, 1967 when I was 10. He left me a legacy because he was a popular Latvian writer and poet and so I turned to writing and poetry. My mom stayed at home to take care of me and dad was the editor of the Latvian newspaper Laiks or Times within walking distance of our apartment. Here the weather has turned to summer and mom took me to visit with dad. Guess which one am I?

They look like a happy couple.
Your dad was born 4 years before my dad was born.

Happy birthday to your dad in heaven.
I'm sure he is looking down from above and wishing you were all together on this day.
He did indeed leave you a legacy.
I did read some of your poetry before in a previous Jimcarnation, and what I read was really good.

@RasmaSandra You know that when your time comes, you will be reunited with them as well as Martin.
We must live this life before we are called home.

@wolfgirl569 as you can see it was taken by a very old fashioned camera and at the time mostly with black and white film,

@Mshafeeq I always wished I could have known him when I was an adult already. There are times I write a poem and suddenly my fingers fly across the keyboard and then I have to look to see what I wrote and I know my dad was helping me out,
