I do not have the heart to throw it

I received a pack of my favourite peanut candy. When I opened the outer cover I saw the container overfilled and the lid open. A few pieces of the candy were outside.
I contacted Amazon customer care. I sent them a photograph. They asked me to discard the stuff and that they will refund me the full amount
I just do not have the heart to do it
That is my evening snack and now I have to go for something else.
Would you throw it out?

Each piece is sealed and no tampering could be possible that way

@allknowing I would be concerned that there is a pinhole in the wrapper somewhere or if the actual bars within that wrapping are authentic.

I would be tempted to eat it since it's all sealed. Hard decision though

@Mshafeeq That was my snack this evening but I did not have it as I have not yet decided if I will eat or not. I will open one tomorrow and see if it is fresh. Thank you

@allknowing ok good one more step open one packet and check the smell of chikki, sometimes due to long hours lasting bad smell would be there, if this is good then you can enjoy your chikki eyes closed.

It is not safe to consume the stuff because of the condition. It's better to be safe.
