RIP Steve "Mongo" McMichael

Today ESPN and the NFL network reveiled that hall of famer Steve "Mongo" McMichael has past away. Mongo was part of the Chicago Bears famed "46 defense" as a defensive back. He also ranks number two in the franchise for a 92.5 sack record. Starting out with the New England Patriots and ending with the Green Bay Packers, Mongo made his name with the team in between. The Chicago Bears. For 13 seasons he was with the Bears and playing a team record of 191 consecutive games. On August 3 of 2024 Mongo was inducted into the Football Hall of Fame. At age 67, Mongo lost his battle with ALS or also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. RIP Mongo, your team can take it from here

My dad talks fondly of him. He remembers him playing a little but he was before my time and before I started following everything about the NFL.
