Reading a post by @JudyEv I got inspired to write about our own well. The first thing we did the moment we bought this property was to sink a well We were fortunate that just within 30 feet we got water. It is years now and we depend on this loyal well for all our needs. We do not have any other connection We clean this well occasionally and that is done by experts. We have a pump that fills our overhead tank and from where connection is given to the house and garden Our waterfall is also connected.

That's great that you found water so close to the surface. Is it good to drink?

Yes it is We have no polluting sources closeby such as drainages. Our property is surround by roads on three sides and our toilet soak pit is almost 100 feet away - the minimum is 30 ft.

Must be nice to not have to pay the city for water.

Having Well in our backyard is one of the blessing we can have in this expensive world. At my home we also rely on our well for water..

Lucky that you got the water at 30 feet only. My mom has such well in our native place and it is the source of water for the house.

You have been lucky to find drinking water not very deep. My grandparents had a well in the garden.

@allknowing - The water of the well of my grandparents was not for drinking, but for the animals and the garden they have always used it.
