Good morning from this side of the planet. A sunny and pleasant morning here, but I am sure that it will start getting warmer in some time and I have to draw the drapes to keep the house cool. Right now, I am enjoying the fresh breeze and morning sunlight . It's 8:50 AM here and I am done with my morning chores, walk, getting ready and having breakfast. . So, it has been a very productive morning so far. Now, I would be here for a while before I need to start with next set of work. Husband and daughter have left and I will have the home to myself till 4 when they start coming for classes and sessions. I am working from 4_6 in the afternoon. I plan to take short sweet nap from 3_3:45. My surgery is scheduled on 5th or 6th May. The doctor will let me know by 1st May depending on her availability. I have been busy finishing the commitments and obligations before I go for surgery and take 6 weeks rest post that. I promised my friend to take two workshops as part of her team training at her organisation. It was scheduled for first week of May but glad that she did it on Friday and Monday. And I am done with that. They loved it. Then finished the three days perspective development program for teachers in my school. That would generally happen around end of May, but they adjusted seeing my availability. For my remedial sessions, this week was the last working week and today is the last day. I prepared material and handed them. Prepared individual home programs for the 6 children and handed over to them for next 7 weeks till I recover. Had one to one meeting with parents in person ( those who could visit) and online through video for those who could not come and explained in detail the home program. So, the work commitments are done. And it's a big relief. Now the coming week, I focus on arrangements around home to get things prepared before my surgery. On 1st May, I am going out for lunch with my friends to enjoy before I go ahead with tests, bloodwork etc on 2nd May to see my fitness for the surgery. My mom comes on 1st May night and she will be here for a month..that would be a big support especially emotionally. So, that's what kept me busy this month, I take my commitments and accountability very seriously. All this seemed too overwhelming to begin with. But then one task at one time and enjoying it, all is done in time Hope that all is well in your corner. Stay happy and healthy.

Hopefully, you knock out that to-do list before all that happens.

Thank you. Yes, that's have been my focus for now. That's why I was doing a little daily and took it slow. Now, that all is done, I can just focus on my health and recovery post surgery. Nothing pending or lingering on to keep me worried.

Yes, it's not something emergency and rushed, so I could sit back, plan and do things. With all these, hopefully things would be streamlined and easier during post surgery. I want to relax and totally focus on my recovery post surgery. So, I didn't want to have anything pending or left to cause me stress.

I am going for complete hysterectomy and bilateral ovariectomy. My endometriosis combined with menopause symptoms is making it really bad. Doctor adviced for a surgery to improve my quality of life.

I'm glad things are moving ahead smoothly for you and hope the surgery also goes smoothly... I'm sure you'll enjoy seeing your mother for the month of her visit while she helps your hubby make sure the household keeps running while you're not able to do it yourself.

@arunima25 I can see that and hope you're right. Doing things you enjoyed when you still lived with your mom before marriage can be nice and getting to visit with mom is always good. Some of my mom's cooking I miss but some I don't. I hope she only fixes things you like while she's there.

@DaddyEvil I like everything that she cooks. I have got my cooking skills from her and I am as good as her when it comes to cooking. It would be a luxury to have a home cooked delicious food from mom.

Yes, even I feel good. This one is not an emergency or rush and so, I got some time to get things done. That would make things more streamlined and easier to manage later. Having mom will be good, we can watch movies together in the recovery period. And I can enjoy all the delicious food cooked by her. That will make me recover fast.

Sometimes, those tons of tasks to be accomplished seems too overwhelming but doing the tasks one step at a time can make things easier. I hope that the surgery goes well. Take care.

People brag a lot about multitasking. But it doesn't work for me. I am more productive if I focus on one thing at a time. Thank you for your concern and wishes.

As you have done, if you just deal with one task at a time, eventually it all gets done.
