Who is your favorite comedian?

When I was a kid, I'd have to say that Bob Newhart and Richard Pryor were among my favorite comedians. Oh yeah, and the stoner humor of Cheech and Chong. And Monty Python, of course. Somewhere along the way, I started enjoying Chris Rock and Stephen Wright, but I was a bit "out of the loop" at that time. More recently, when I need a chuckle, I visit Key and Peele, or Bubbula Please. But my favorite single skit is the Black Jeopardy SNL skit, featuring Tom Hanks as an affable redneck. I'll link that one, in case you need a laugh. Who do you turn to when you need a laugh?

Chris Rock is right up there for me. Lately though, it has been Nate Bargatze, who was recently on SNL. But no doubt it, Key & Peele are awesome. I would like to give a shout out to a female comedienne: Nikki Glaser. She can hold her own with almost anyone.

@TheHorse I’ve heard her for years, but she drew the most attention doing the roast of Tom Brady.

George Carlin. Funniest guy on earth. But, I think Tom Hanks can do anything. I used to enjoy Bill Cosby. His Chicken Heart story was hilarious. Now I won't listen to him anymore. But Shelly Berman was good in his day. He did a story about buttermilk on a hangover and another one about a guy trying to report a woman hanging from a window ledge on the building across from him. Very Funny!

@TheHorse Same with me since my late parents would attend his movies or his television shows.

I'd have to say Donald Trump. The bullshit he's been pulling is some of the funniest stuff I've ever seen or heard of.

Donald Trump is too "nuanced" for me. With Dr. Strangelove, there were "winks" to let us know we were watching dark comedy. Same with Pulp Fiction and Breaking Bad. But Trump only makes me sick to my stomach.

I do not have one anymore, maybe its Liberal Redneck. He is pretty funny, but have not checked what he is up to in a while . I think my favorite is still dogs. Kai and Delta make me laugh a lot more than most comedians these days.

As a little girl I actually enjoyed watching The Red Skeleton Show. Later it was Abbott and Costello, Laurel and Hardy, and The Three Stooges.

That's a great list of comedians! From the classics like Bob Newhart and Richard Pryor to the more contemporary humor of Key and Peele, you've got a wide range. I can see why the Black Jeopardy skit with Tom Hanks is.

Don't know if you have heard of them, but Mitch Hedberg is a favorite of mine and my husband's. Sadly he passed away in 2005. Not sure his comedy was for everyone.

I liked several back in the day. George Carlin. Richard Pryor. Bill Cosby. Gilbert Gottfried. Maybe Cedric the Entertainer now
