It's amazing what you find

I've been walking the property this morning. Three grape vines are starting to sprout leaves. The fourth- just a stick- I thought of as compost material. Nope. This morning a side shoot from it is starting to leaf out. Made me happy to see it.

I’m in the midst of organizing, and I found a small bottle of unopened Coke under my couch. That’s not too weird though. I know I’ll be finding more things. I expect to be quite surprised.

Just this week I found a poem I had written. I was sure that when I last saw it it was in a desk drawer. I wanted to share it, and could not find it. I was cleaning around my computer, and found it there.

It IS a big deal - even moreso at this time. We had to do that back in January. Hubby actually had a bag of stuff from the old car . . . I hadn't realized he had it til recently as I thought I got everything out of my old car. He found a few old gift cards (how'd it get there), and some miscellaneous paper work.

I always like exploring a new car after I've bought it just so I know what is there if we need it... Actually, I did find a phone charging brick yesterday after the guy that was working in the bathroom left. I had to clear out the top of my bedroom closet so he could get into the attic so I stacked everything from the closet on my bed. After the guy left, I started looking through all the boxes that had been stored since we moved in here seven years ago. One of the things I found that we thought we'd lost in the move was a Black Web 18,200 mAh battery charger. I kept telling Pretty that I remembered charging it up and putting it somewhere but couldn't remember where I'd put it... The best part is it still has a full charge after seven years!

You're absolutely right! Getting a new car and saying goodbye to an old one is a significant event. It marks a transition and holds a lot of memories, much like moving homes.

I found the one hundred dollar bill among papers that were meant to be destroyed. I thought I had lost it. It was the balance I got back form my tour.

I remember losing my swipe badge for work once in a car that we used to have. It was dark when I turned left out of the parking lot, and I heard it slide across the passenger seat and hit the inside of the door. Half a year later my hubby found it when he was giving it the once over as he had traded it in on another car and he found it. I had already paid for a new one by that point in time.

I'm useless with these sorts of questions. lol I can't think of anything but I'm sure there have been many times when I've found something I didn't expect to.
